Let’s look past the rough and tumble of the Democratic primary, past the upcoming autumnal slugfest, to January 20, 2009. On that probably blustery day, the next President of these United States will solemnly place his hand on a Bible and begin the work of steering our ship of state. First order of business: a cabinet of trusty advisers. Barack Obama, should he finish the race intact, has already planned far in advance. He would, he says, appoint a Chief Technology Officer to help him sail that ship through some choppy digital waters. So who would be the lucky geek?
