The Transformation is Complete!
I was reading an article from a 1903 New York Times yesterday about the controversial French dancer, Vanentine Saint-Point, who many consider to be the founder of Performance Art. In it, she suggested that France was over — too much war, too much stuck in the past — and that New York should become the New Paris, and America the new France. Well, isn’t it interesting that one of the most emailed articles in the New York Times this week was about how the French now love hamburgers! First an America-loving president and now hamburgers. Call me crazy, but it sounds to me like 105 years later, France is becoming the new America. Let’s all go grab a quick burger — how French — and listen to French author and chef Jacques Pepin talk about how globalization is changing the way we live and eat.
