Question: Do you see the Bible as a story?

David Maine: Some of it is. Some of it’s just lists. Some of it’s rules. Not really, like Leviticus and Deuteronomy it’s just like don’t to just, don’t fuck your mom, don’t fuck your mother-in-law, don’t fuck the cattle, don’t the fuck, really go look. It’s amazing. Mother-in-law, I wish I had known that. I do think that it should be anybody who takes a sacred text, or who takes the text as sacred and says “I am going to live by this.” I do think that that person should read the text for themselves. I am the leery of preachers and gurus of all stripes.
