Re: the weak argument of atheism

Uploaded on 01/16/2008

I think some of the people who have responded to my previous entry have misinterpreted my statements. I am not in anyway arguing that atheists should believe in organized religion. What I'm arguing is simple. Atheists say that they choose to reason and use logic, but how logical is it to say that something isn't real when you have no evidence disproving its existence?

As for people "forcing" religion on people I have two points to make. The first is: it is doubtful that most religious people try to force their religion on others, it seems that way because those people are the most vocal. Secondly: if you knew something was illegal, and your friend didn't, would you just let them do it and go to jail? I wouldn't. And if I believed that if sins sent you to hell, I'd try to look out for my friend in that regard too.
