morals are independant of religon, morals are learned from the sociaty you grew up in and live in, religon is a way of explaining why you follow those morals, laws are very capable of doing that these days.

Most religons are very out dated in the morals in their holy books, their are things done in bible stories (and not condemed) that would be never be considered molar in this age, yet 2000 years ago they were considered moral. of course any reasonable person reading the bible would choose which to adopt as their moral because they would already have an idea of whats right and wrong.
