Re: Good and Evil

Good and Evil are very subjective, does killing a person make you evil? What if they were going to kill you? Whose standards do we use to say some one is good or someone is evil? The most conservative or the least conservative?

Personally I think (haven’t done much research or put much thought into it) morality is the result of the society we grow up in. as an example, in some countries people don’t see much wrong with the death sentence while in others it would never be considered even if the major religion of both countries are the same.

And religion may help some people "learn"(figure out) morality it usually attempts to stop the evolution of morality (e.g. the gay rights issue).
