One of your statements that caught my attention was that the challenge of modernity is to extend the moral sphere to include everyone in our species and even outside of our species. This idea is what caused me to become a vegetarian 6 months ago. I can't help but look into the future and see how one day we'll look back and think how barbaric it was that we used to torture and kill innocent animals for the pleasure of our taste buds.
