The scope and content of all 'holy' books from the ancient Assyrians to L Ron Hubbard makes it patently clear that it is man made 100% and not some Dog revealing himself mystically and incrementally. Go back to what your type does best... frightening the kiddies.
there are many beautiful and trancendent ideas and experiences about... music, love, parenthood... and all have nothing to do with a stone-aged designed sky-god. Now, as ever in the past, groups that see themselves as uniquely chosen to pass on the TRUTH have been trouble. There will not be peace on this planet until extreme religiosity
is recognized for the great divider that it is. Is it too much to hope for a peace based on human values and the survival of us all? I don't think so. Its happening all the time now, and the threat to our planet's survival
should accellerate that process. Thinking kind of destroys religion. Whatever...

Hey Reza! Nice points, and well-said. I have an issue though; you bring up this beautiful idea of the "mother of all books", but then you say "but of course, this came to an end with the coming of Muhammed".

But religion (at least the older, major ones) aren't about what ideas are beautiful; after all, they aren't philosophies. They are meant to be truths. Any impressive idea, no matter how elegant or convenient, if untrue, is worthless.

And anyhow, any attempt to say that the New Testament can be reconciled with the Koran is silly; Jesus was quite clear about who he was, and who he wasn't. He wasn't just a prophet (according to the NT), he was literally an incarnation of God.

Muslims can claim all day long that "the prophet Jesus's message was corrupted by Christians", but if you throw out the "corrupted" book, you're left with nothing at all.

The major holy books of the various world religions are irreconcilable, by design. Any attempt to make them all work together would only gain traction among people who care more about getting along than getting it right.
