Surely you cannot think that non-belief (in general) is the foundation of mankind. Why would you choose to exist in such a world? Personally, I believe in many things, and these beliefs are my foundation. I believe that my father loves me, even though we usually don't talk about such things. I believe that my daughters' smiles are enough of reason to live . I believe that my grandfather would have chosen to live with all of the pains that he endured for the last few years of his life just to teach me those final lessons in humility. When I sat in my chair, I believed that it would support my weight. Sometimes, even though I know they don't really exist, I believe in hobbits and elves and faeries. And yes, I believe in God. Surely you must believe in something. Or do you deny the existence of cool shade on a hot summer day, and the sweet acidity of the first tomato picked from the garden, and music, and tears, and love. Don't you know that without belief there is no hope for the slave to sing; no waiting in the darkness for the dawn? Just like the presumptuous nature of believers. Bordering on an absolute belief with insufficient supporting evidence. The burden of proof is on the claimant(s). In the case of religous claims, no valid proof or evidence has ever been known.

Non-belief is the foundation of mankind.

No one was born a believer. Not ever.
