Five habits of mind (thanks to the East-Central-Park Secondary School in NYC) cultivate wisdom: relevance, connectedness, evidence, alternatives, and viewpoint... that is, given a scenario, one must ask, "Who puts forth this idea, and what's their agenda?" "Why does this idea matter?" "What do we know about this and how do we know it?" "What if factor X was different; would this still be applicable?" The ability to think clearly, making sense of the knowledge one obtains-- this is wisdom. Wisdom i would say is simplly ackgnowledge your own ignorance and fallibility, but of course not accepting it and attempting to get knoledge. So i would say wisdom is an attitude.
