If God exists he's little more than a spoilt child. That's the impression I get from religion. Phil Plait said: "I debate creationists because their God is too small". He was refering to religions' unwillingness to search for God through his creation but rather through his alledged "word".
My point being that the religious mind is closed to evidence and arguments. It's not that our arguments are weak, they are just falling on deaf ears. If only closed minds came with closed mouths.

People who think this world is trash, and the next one bliss are hardly likely to put their energies into helping future generations.
What does god do with the universe when he calls the 144,000 to the rapture? pull down the curtains? pack up his tent?
Religion has nothing to do with proving god exists, but the closer you look at it the less likely god becomes.
