There is nothing that obligates one individual to take care of another. However in any society some individual freedom must be surendered, and giving up some of your money to ensure the physical well being of the people in ones society is nessisary to acheive a functioning one. It is, I believe, a human right, that can be achieved. Sure, there will always be unequal care, I think liberals need to accept that. But people need to realize that it is okay to give some of your hard earned tax dollars away to help save someones life. There are fairly good arguements that it is economically beneficial as well. A sick citizenry is far less productive than a healthy one. And, a government run system, most likely, would emphasize preventative care far more than a private system, that has little incentive to.
