just becasue you live in a society with a good infrastructure. Economic sability and health don't mean your happy it's more likely you are but it aint a guarantee.

When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always replied, "Happy". I didn't know people were asking me what my career choices might be. The formula is different for everyone. Thankfully, I am happy. Every day I am determined to be happy and finding ways to be grateful is the single largest factor in my success. Even when things are not going well, I know I just need to wait and invariably, things turn around and I find a way or a reason to be happy again.

So many good comments here. I'm a very happy person. And its not because I'm rich, skinny or anything that I own. Everyday I wake up and put positive energy out there in the world and it comes back to me. Its also soooo important to enjoy the smallest things in life. I nice afternoon, little bike ride. Playing in snow.. whatever

The happiest people are always the people with power. If you can control people, it will bring out the primal instincts of control in each human. It's what we see daily with the spreading of cultural and ideological imperialism.

I am a happy person. I feel like I am at my happiest when I am doing the following: taking care of my needs - eating right and exercising which gives me time to focus on my family and others. It gives me strength to feel energetic and positive. I also find happiness in helping others. We sponsor 2 girls - one in the Dominican Republic and one in Guatemala. It makes me happy to know that they enjoy corresponding with me and they benefit from our donations. I am happy when I can help other women and I help women learn about exercise and nutrition. I am happy that I can live in a house that is less than 1000 sq ft and never ask for more. I find happiness in my flowers and animals too. So, I think you are all correct. A purpose, simple things, doing for others.

The happiest people are the ones who lack the intellect to understand the extreme problems Homo sapiens is causing for the biosphere and environment of our planet.

Happiest people is young children, because they don't have to care about anything.

the happiest people are those who have a purpose and know what that purpose is, and at the same time are content with where they are at in life. If you can die tommorow and regret nothing, you are happier than any monetarily rich man.
