I appreciate Rabbi Schmuly's ability to see the health that is present. <br /><br />However, I also think we will be remembered for living in many ways from fear and a limited self-interest (not understanding that other's well-being improves my well-being). Thus, we have lived much from our reptilian instincts. But I also think it likely that ultimately our human capacity to hope and imagine a different future could lead to the welfare of people/planet prevailing over the drive for material or monetary profits, ultimately leading to a much wealthier global society.
