Just because rice and tofu are 'eastern' foods doesn't make the idea of being a vegeratian both western and eastern. However, the bhuddist practice of eating only veggies and sweeping the ground in front of them so as not to step on any bugs could be interped as vegitarianism, but only very basycally so. They were into not killing anything to sustain their lives. they would never kill the bacteria in their mouths by rushing their teeth, or using mouthwash. Would you? they would never kill a roach for being in their food. would you? I can go on, but you get the point. If you honestly answered no to the questions that I asked, and all the questions I implied, good for you. I support you. However, if you would kill a roach, or brush your teeth, for reasonability ant arguability's sake, have a steak and accept that you are classified as an omnivor.
