But I like Nameless' idea of balance, that is looking at it in a more intelligent way, as more of an honor/responsibility. When you conserve your "holy wine" (without spilling it) you will notice you become smarter, more creative, healthier and stronger.

If you seek balance spend your extra energy doing daily exercise, reading and more time with friends. And yes religion can explain it, but why do so many religions condemn it in the first place. As i said in another thread, maby it has to do with the level of intimacy acheived during sex, and maby that for some reason makes us uncomfortable. Maby it has to do with the general asosiation with the sexual organs and waste disposal, and the fact thet they are unclean makes the act unclean. It really is dificult to say what causes many cultures around the worl to adopt sexually repressive cultural norms.

However looking in the issue in a sober objective way taking culture and perspective out of it. I would say that there is no reason not to have sex more or less as much as you want. When we get hungry we dont supress that desire, but it is posible to eat to much. I think the same goes for sex, its posible to have to mch, but to much of course is subjective, so its pretty much up to the judgment of the individual. Sexual abstenence education is completly absurd, i graduated high school last year, and i put of taking any health classes until last year, because i figured they would be teaching propaganda such as this. And did they ever, the whole sexual abstenence presentation was the leas scientific and the most dogmatic presentation i have ever seen. Ther is no scientific data to back it, and in general no one took it seriously. So i would say that it is by far not the way to go whwn educating teens about sex. They are not overcrowding the schools with more kids, draining the health and human resources from support of those kids. Causing more waste in the landfill, be not needing diapers. If everyone who are gay were to become straight, It would probably cause the collapse of the government, and the economy, Hundreds of thousands of more people would having children and eating up the limited resources we currently are running out of.
