Man is an extraordinary achievement that has required long and difficult preperation.
This achievement is not complete. It would be quite a considerable cosmic disaster if this experiment with man were to fail, and for this reason much is being done to prevent this experiment from failing--not because man deserves to survive, but because he is really needed. This is one of my favorite quotes from J.G.Bennett "Needs of a new age community" For me this just about sums it up. Samadhiji

I view it as having the ability to take part in random, creative thought. Everyone that is conscious is prone traceless semblances of thought popping in and out of our mind from some unknown void, leading somewhere or nowhere.

Basically, if you receive information from nowhere, you are conscious.
