For example we will have cochlear implants to hear, retinal implants to see, artificial nano red blood cells and white blood cells, artificial heart, lungs, arms and legs and right now they are working on neural networks that simulate the process of how our brains work. right now they are 1/1,000,000th the power of our brains but the exponential growth of technology has shown us it doesn't take long to fill the gaps. 18 months later they will be 1/500,00 then 1/250,000 then 1/125,000 so by the 2020's to 2030's there will start to be a blur between humans and computers and eventually we will be able to download ourselves into new host bodies which will give us immortality. The future is going to be a very different place than it is today. Bigthink Thu, 17 Jan 2008 03:35:34 +0100 http://www.bigthink.com/outlook-the-future/4457/#1524
