I just have to say you are def. on my wave length...Ive been preaching this forever...I def. agree with you one hundred percent...Just take a look at some of the discussions in my profile it always seems to come back to population...prob.

Concur with these posts---yes this is the elephant... Why don't people tout population reduction as one of many world rehabilitation measures?

Who can argue that two billion people would be more beneficial to the health of our world? True, population reduction goes against the species' desire to multiply; however, I believe we're entering an age of collective consciousness where the world can make decisions and implement global policies for the overall well being of everyone.

If you want to read up on this a little more, you should read "Brave New World Revisited" by Aldous Huxley. It was written about the fulfillment of what his original novel "Brave New World was about. It has a pretty insightful view of overpopulation and other similar issues

Hear, hear lilith zeitgeist... I just hope we aren't alone (pun intended :)

It is certainly a major problem that no one seems to really be too concerned about. Poverty, pollution, scarce resources, starvation are all causes of this root problem.

The more people become aware of it perhaps the more can be done to control it without getting people hurt.

That makes two of us... anyone else?

!!! YAAY!!!!

As soon as I saw this site on The Colbert Report last night I decided to add a comment on my pet issue, human overpopulation.

When I googled it and saw two of my very favorite people, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Bill Richardson, I knew I was going to like it.

You're the first person that, based on one of your responses to another contributer, I felt compelled to view.

I found your most recent post compelling and commented on it, then clicked on the second most recent, this one. Full circle back to my pet issue that I drone on and on about to anyone at the pub willing to listen..lol.

This internent collectivism thing really works! All joking aside, it's fascinating that over population is absolutely never reported on in the main stream media. The only person that ever discusses it is Thom Hartman; in the past year he's done two full 3-hour broadcasts on it that I know of, maybe more.

Keep preaching it wisefool! I will too!
