You know what I know for a fact? If I pick up my computer and drop it, it will fall to the floor. Want to know why? Science.

And scientists have considered God. That's the point. There have been tons of experiments done to see if there is a God, if prayer works. There is no evidence for God, so scientists (or the ones who are atheists, as they are plenty of scientists who believe in God, such as the discoverer of DNA Francis Crick) take the position that God does not exist, due to lack of evidence. After all, logic says that the burden of proof lies on those making the positive claim. No proof for God, then he doesn't exist.
