I think my grandchildren will first ask: what did you do about global warming? Turn off a few lights write a few comments on U Tube, not realy a lot to be proud of. Still, I drive a Hyundi. Not much, but it is a start.

The second question is what did you do to defend our liberty? A few comments via E mail, U Tube, Big Thing. Again not a lot.

The majority of the world stares and feeds mindlessly from one of two boxes (tv's or computers), it lays down our world brick by brick, clothes, fashion, fun, comedy, fear, beliefs and everything in between. As long as we observe and graze nothing too amazing happens, but we continue to plough our way to non existence. If I was really cynical I might say are we really worth saving?

What is the matter with all you people? Are you completely oblivious to the fact that we have the greatest standard of living that ever existed? Human extinction is the answer? Good grief how about this you stop having kids, and go extinct, and my kin won't have to listen to you anymore.

I have become increasingly cynical over the years. I see a body politic that is evolving into a tool of the wealthy elite. I see a cyclical return to the era of the monarchy in which all the leaders of the nation are minions of an establishment that is focused on the advancment of a minority of "blue-bloods" with legacy ascensions to positions of power. The purpose of all those in the legislature is to insure redistribution of all wealth to a minority elite. The system is created to act like the tax collectors of old, they take almost everything and redistribute it to the monarchy, with the only twist being they don't take it all. My outlook for the future is unfortunately bleak. I think the time will come (and soon) when we will face having to either exercise our rights of abolishment or altering of our current government or becoming paupers in a modern 21st Century King George the III environment.

i think at this point a child could make a list of reasons they dont want to grow up in this world, but is that really the anwswer? i just try to look at what i have surrounding me (family, friends) and realize how gosh darn good they are, its really all we have when it comes to it.

I increasingly begin to belief that Extinction is the answer, but I find it hard to determine whether this is optimistic or pessimistic. Sometimes the feeling comes out of despair and sometimes out of hope. Human intelligence may not be the best model of sentience, but it is only game we have. I hope I am being pessimistic!
