A have a great desire to believe in God. I find any notion that there is some sort of higher morality or absolute truth without the precondition of the world or at least humanity being created by a self-aware being disillusioned. I know I cannot reject God and still keep concepts of 'good' and 'evil' without fooling myself or lying about them not being more than social constructs. I am therefore left believing in God not because of any evidence to indicate that God does indeed exist, but out of a desire and need to validate the morals that are so deeply entrenched in who I am that I would lose all sense of purpose and identity without them.

How can one not believe in GD? It would be saying that everything in the world is a complete accident: the way both human and other animal bodies are formed, the way that many animals know exactly what to do when they are born in order to survive, the way that fall, spring, summer and winter occur. In my opinion, the world is entirely too complex for it to be a random accident - someone or something HAS to be behind it. Gd.

I believe in God ... but I prefer conversation with agnostics over conversation with other theists and with atheists. Agnostics seem to be open to interesting, speculative conversations.

Why is it that questions of belief online are so frequently dominated by fundamentalist polarities: Arch-Atheists and Arch-Judeo-Christians*. This is an experiential, absorbing and open question worth deeper discussion than "If you believe in God you're stupid" on one side and "If you don't believe in God you're evil" on the other.

I have this belief-in-God conversation somewhat frequently on-the-street, with people I don't know, when I'm filming Bridge Talk and it almost never decays into the blunt polarities it does online. What gives?

*I am in fact a Judeo-Christian myself - I just hesitate to admit it in light of how this belief-system is frequently represented in online discussion.

I see no evidence for god, so no.
I see plenty of evidence of a search for meaning (atheists included).. the answer just does not have a supernatural explanation.

Im an atheist to the extent that the probability of the existence of God is so small as to be statistically irrelevant.

"Imagine God Evolving" is my latest version of God. I believe it completely. When I come up with a new version, it would have to fit into this idea.
It's not hard to imagine it will continue to evolve.

Agnostic, i dont belive it is posible to know. How ever i do not belive it is posible to know anything at all for certain in our existance. So im about as sure that there is no god as i am sure that thers a cup of tea in front of me, but im not that certein of either.

Belief Systems can provide many opportunities for learning and evolution. If you practice them properly then you should be able to master more than one belief system within an 'average' lifetime.

Logically thinking a Monotheist should not fear Atheism as according to a Monotheist everything must be under the ONE "God". The definition of that number ONE has changed over time, do not assume that your ONE is the real ONE.

No matter what you beleive you all should come to the same question and anwser.

Were did god come from?

He just is and was.

Were did the matter for the big bang come from?

It just is and was.

So if you are an Atheists didnt you ever think that when you ask that question that always comes as the cruxed of your argument, weres the proof, that you are in fact being hypocritical?

I beleive in god though I'm not creationist nut.
