The loonies that think putting up a fence will not stop people from crossing a border are ridiculous. If the fence is high enough and strong enough it would be very difficult to tear it down. Especially if accompanied by surveillance and patrolling it would greatly reduce the number of people crossing daily, and the kind of people that would be able to make it across.
