When someone says to me "how can you have morals without God?" I simply return the question "If we require God to have morals, why is it important to have this God?"

All the reasons they give for why we need these laws, will be the reasons why these laws are beneficial to our well being. These reasons are the reasons why we have morals without god.

Good and evil are outdated, religious concepts. In fact, some would argue that even wrong and right are outdated concepts. And still others doubt there actually are such things as human subjects, to which a philosophy such as humanism could be applied. For me, morality is based on social status. The more powerful you are, the more lives you can get away with destroying. It's an ugly reality and maybe one day we'll have a more equal world with less exploitation. But you know what? I doubt it.
