It will take time to change, but rights movements need to occur in other coutries, they cann't be imposed upon them by the US or any other 1st world country. Civil rights abuses and environmental problems would still occur no matter what economic system was dominant. Total socalism or communism makes a society stagnant, with no motivation for an individaul to work hard and achieve. I think the best economic plan for a country has to be a compromise between socialism and capitalism, what we in the United States are working towards, with socialied schools, social security, Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, and socialized medicine on the way.
