Let's assume "global" warming as they call it (by global, i wonder if they just refer to atmoshperic temperature that is increasing or just the side effects / consequences of which they are scared of, if energy is released that also means the source from where it is released has cooled a bit, it's just that we are sitting at the skin that is getting warmer) is indeed happening, meaning this globe is warming(?), question is not how it is happening! point is... to know that we are just feeling the burnt when our bottom is under fire... and how can one explain once fertile place around Nile turning into barren desert in terms of global warming, i hope it hasn't happened DURING the 80 years... Change is only constant and it's been consistently happening to the earth... warming and cooling must be happening since ages.. some part or the other or the whole for that matter, it's that we are at that tipping now and that we are actually witness to it... Ask the bearded man who carried the whole civilization on his boat if it was due to global warming? ask the islanders of Indonesia if they are living there from the begining of time? cut to scene when an underwater volcano erupts - what happens? the whole sky is filled with ash, lava instead of salty water flows in the sea and surrounding temperature shoots to 100 if not 1000 degrees but eventually when the source i.e. the core of mountain cools down it gives birth to beautiful islands etc... burst of energy is supposed to act like this... that does not mean we shall go crazy about it, agree, we shall be responsible and sensible... that's where lies the greatest challenge to today's advanced science. One just can't be asked to stop driving the car, though it's fair to ask not to smoke at the gas station because it might accidentally blow up the station... (btw that's not accurate analogy as smoking does anyways kill, irrespective of one smokes near or away from gas station :) )

Ok, buddy, letme tell you where global warming comes in with your law of thermodynamics..

take earth, take biomass, bury it DURING a couple hundred thousand years....that has been our system...our stable system...

then take the 20th century and release all that energy in 80 years...so letme recapitulate: 300 000 yrs to bury the energy and 80 to put back up -HMMM why the hell is that affecting the stability of our system? Please, get a clue.
