not that america is immune, its just that we arent quite all the way there yet, i dont see any problem in showing what will become if we dont change our ways...

jesseacres is quick to blame a 'less than qualified president' for an authoritarian US government for rights abuses. What about the hundred senators, what about hundreds and hundreds of Congresspeople? They were/are the enablers for setting up an authoritarian state, and voters seem happy with the same old crew.

Stick to the subject. Rather than comment on the Preventive State in the US, (except to note that it is really isn't so bad, yet) jesseakins is quick to change the subject and indulge in fingerpointing at the evil Chinese.

Blaming others is a great way of feeling warm and fuzzy, especially in a country with secret prisons and secret trials that the accused is forbidden to talk about.

i think the country will soon be coming around to this solid statement, however the effects of 9/11 created knee jerk reactions and we had a less than qaulified president presiding over the whole thing,

any threat against the united states abroad can be taken care of in a few airstrikes, its the civil unrest here that will leave the government in shambles if they continue to limit personal freedoms, which by the way we havent begun to see how bad it can get,

i hope the protests of the olympics happen on a grander scale, to hold the olympics in a country like that is on par with the nazi germany olympics, and communist russia, shame on the olympic committee and shame on any american athlete participating unless they are wearing a tibetan flag in place of, i hope that athlete publicly denounce it all and do not participate
