i think they can be depicted as such, although i value them for the games that involve complex strategy, imagination, as well as a sense of realism, my favorites are madden, ghost recon, battlefront, etc. etc.

dont laugh at madden, if it keeps up its level or realism it can be even more challenge than Chess if people actually challenge themselves on it as opposed to putting togethr fantasy leagues and blowing everyone out
