But i think when it comes to living life we should take our time, not hurry to conquer the world and just think and ponder a bit more. I think we need to explore ourselves more, we are concentrating to much on the outside world and how much we can do in it but we no nothing of ourselves.

And when it comes to thinking before acting, calling up your friends geting drunk doing something stupid and having fun at random without thinking is great. But when it comes to making important decisions, especiall ones that can effect others, in this case i think thought is much more important then whatever action will or will not folow it, because one can make a good decision by thinking and not taking action, but acting without thinking rarelly turns out well. (ya now im thinking Iraq) Bigthink Fri, 09 May 2008 05:53:41 +0100 http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611/#16845 Comment on: Though and Action. http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611 S44

You probably had Iraq in mind when you drafted you posting. I read it at a level of personal actions.

Sometimes is better to do something rather than nothing. It is too easy to freeze in indecision and end up doing nothing. Sometimes it is best to throw caution to the wind, have a go and accept the consequences. They are not alway as bad as our fears would have them.

Rewards go to the brave.

Your thoughts?

RO
Bigthink Thu, 08 May 2008 05:54:28 +0100 http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611/#16793 Comment on: Though and Action. http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611 Of course some form of thought always precedes action. But im talking here about the general adittude towards making quik dessisions, and getting as much done as posible. And not so much taking time to consider everything around us paticularilly the issues at hand.

And yes we are being flooded with information, but do really process it that well. Or as well as we should, plus not all of this information is beneficiall to our paticullar ends, and interests. I think all this information may actually dilute the important things with fluff. (ofcourse importan like anything else is a subjective concept) Bigthink Wed, 09 Apr 2008 04:44:41 +0100 http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611/#14054 Comment on: Though and Action. http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611 Thought, even in the instinctual sense, precedes action, intentional or not.
So, thought is the most important.
Accumulation of knowledge increases and strengthens human thought processes, lending towards more efficient and beneficial actions.
Sometimes it is confused that the increased action taken by today's individual is actually based on increased knowledge and a natural inclination (for some) to gain experience. It is noteworthy that humans, more than ever, process an inordinate amount of information, opposed to past generations, and this will continue to increase, possibly unbounded.
As thought is not impaired by pride and self-centeredness, humans stand to execute incredibly beneficial actions.

Connecting-to-the-Value-of-Why 2005-2008 ©

Bigthink Tue, 08 Apr 2008 21:37:12 +0100 http://www.bigthink.com/wisdom/9611/#13985
