: i know of a couple in there early 20s that wants to get married. problem is the female is of a particular religion. and her parents have done everything they can to stop this wedding. only on grounds of religion. this female doesn't want to alienate her parents but also wants to marry this guy. my question is should parents even have a say at this point in life. if so at what point do you quit interfering in your kids life and trust them to make good decisions.i should add the guy is willing to convert just to appease her parents. i think this is wrong too. but really not my place to say so since I'm not religious.

: Is it just me, or does anyone else find it hard to read some of these posts without laughing. wondering if these people are tring to be serious.or just joking. dont get me wrong alot have been really good post for discussions of thought. there is others thou that seem to be preaching. i havent decided if they are tring to convinse themselves or others. then some that seem to make no point at all. i guess they are talking to themself. I guess this post is just my curiosity of whether im alone in this or not. I know it seems to come off a bit smug.

Morality in killing

: puttig war aside, is it moral to kill someone who is threatening your life, or even the life of a close relative (wife, children). and if so isnt it the same as allowing the death penalty. or is it ok to kill someone during the act of murder but not after they commited murder.

Who should be our next president

We can all pretty much agree that our nex president will be a Dem. Bush has pretty much ruined public opinion on the Rep. So unless some 3rd party member comes in to upset it, it looks to me that the Dems got it. This being said. it pretty much comes down to 2 people. Hillary or Obama, neither of which i personally care for. but trying to b realistic it comes down to 1 of them. So Which of these 2 deserves your vote and why.
