I read here that all thoughts of "love" are geared towards people.

Is it not possible to "love"; A pet? A flower? A house? A car? etc...

And it was said that "love" is used out of context quite often, which it probably is, but without defining "love" how can we say this?

Re: Making a Difference http://www.bigthink.com/life-death/6281 Of course making a difference makes a difference. Let's look at some of those that make a difference every single day of their lives.

How about emergency services personnel? Police, Firefighters, Paramedics. Willing to put their lives on the line to save yours.

Members of our military (marines, air force, ground troops etc.) can also be included in those that are willing to sacrifice themselves in order to protect others rights and freedoms.

Is this not making a difference?

How about teachers? They are responsible for teaching our children and ultimately share in the shaping of their thoughts and lives.

Parents? Well, what are they teaching their children?

Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, a lot of parents don't have enough time, or don't make enough time to spend shaping the futures of their children and making a difference in a meaningful, productive way. WIth the economics of todays world, every penny counts so...

What about the internet? Does this not make a difference? I am not even going to start trying to outline the thousands (millions?) of ways in which this tool helps and hinders the definitive means of "making a difference".

Are there others? Of course there are, each of us in our way makes a difference every minute of every day. Some are good, some are not so good, some are irrelevant.
