: The Navy released photos of a rail gun firing a slug at 5600 mph. Have we reached the age where we have science fiction weapons? And in 20 years will our science fiction novels be seen as our westerns like stories from the past?

Yes, if we had one language then we would be able communicate better and communication is key to almost everything.

Is war really bad?

Is war bad? For example one might argue war stopped the holocaust in world war II, but some can argue that World War II was the result of the unfair treaty at the end of World War I and cause the holocaust. I think War is a necessary evil and should be used to solve major issues in the world like the oppression of a culture or genocide of a race but only in a reaction to violence.
