Infatuation versus love

: How can you really tell one from the other? Note: infatuation is not always before you get together with someone. It can go on well into the relationship. I have seen this happen many times before, and couples who had been together for years before either of them knew that they did not really love each other. Also note: Infatuation is not always a bad thing. It just becomes a problem when you confuse it with love and will not be convinced otherwise.

There are arguments presented on both sides of this question. One side says that if you let people think that sexuality and having sex is ok and natural, then people will go wild and just have sex like animals. The there is the other argument that if we suppress the natural desires that everyone has at one point or another, it will eventually come out because its impossible to keep it hidden for long, and it will come out tenfold, and probably lead to more damage.

Much of this stems from sex education versus abstinence only education.

Which could be more harmful? Is there any real way to come to an agreement here, or will this be an ongoing arguement similar to the creationsim versus evolution arguement?
