Forums
I was just reading the "Improvements Requests" thread and I wanted to reply, but couldn't. At the bottom of the postings the word "reply" appears, but no actual reply box. Since that was to be my first attempt at replying, I had to go out of that thread and into another to discover that I was supposed to be seeing a reply text box. The thread was at 31 posts when I was looking at it. I do have some other "Improvement Requests" I'd like to post, especially to some thoughts/comments in that thread particularly.
I saw another topic in this forum with exactly 31 posts that would not let me reply - "What would make bigthink.com easier to use?"
Is there a limit of 31? Seems arbitrary to me.
So far anything under 31 I can reply to.
I, too, wanted to post an improvement suggestion but came across the same issue as you did. Hopefully BIG THINKER will stumble upon this topic.
If so - suggestions not already posted: send an email when someone posts a comment or reply to your idea (feature could be turned off in the profile section) and have a counter to indicate how many people viewed your idea, in case they didn't post a response or comment.
Now that I view this page again, it's not visually appealing to have the first two lines in white and the rest in the background color.
Peter, feel free to e-mail me (assuming you have access to my e-mail address) to ask questions about the problems I've seen on Big Think, especially the forums. I would be happy to be a an "active" beta tester.
