Question: What is your advice to publishers?
Arianna Huffington: Well, I actually have said- and in the book- that I don’t think that traditional media are dead. I just think that they need to adjust to the online realities and they are adjusting, many of them — some of them better than others, some of them faster than others — it’s clear that the current model is not going to survive. But there’s an enormous amount that can be done and — simply by a thriving online operation, and the New York Times is doing that- the Washington Post is doing that. I think that what we are doing, also — at the Huffington Post and what others are doing — is using the wisdom of the crowd model to come up with stories that are breaking new ground and we have a part of our site called Off The Bus that is like a citizen journalism project, which I’m very excited about because, you know, potentially thousands of people around the country can be involved.
