In The Telegraph today, an artilce warns that dark, unseen comets could pose a deadly threat to the earth.

Apparently there are over 3,000 comets in our solar system, but only 25 have been identified. This means that the remaining 2,975 are going unnoticed. Why is this dangerous?  Astronomers have failed to notice comets heading towards earth until just days before they passed.

Memo to President Obama: If we don't have a planet, we have nothing to bail out. Please add stimulus money to new comet-spotting technologies immediately.
