Question: What should Americans be doing?
Calvin Trillin: If I knew that, I would run for president. I mean obviously we’re doing something . . . We’re doing a lot of things we shouldn’t be doing. And . . . I don’t know. I think that one’s too big a question for me.
What is your counsel?
Canadians believe that recycling will make them pure, Trillin says. Maybe Americans can learn a thing or two from that.
