Yes.  It's the knowlege and the certainty that love will not be withdrawn, no matter what I experience that gives me the courage and the fortitude to explore, innovate, imagine, and achieve.  I can't really claim to have received unconditional love, but I give it, in the imitation of the perfect agape example.  The desire to love without threats of witholding love, does not mean no standards.  On the contrary, for me it is the ultimate reciprocity, extending respect, compassion, and an invitation to the beloved to speak what is in their heart and on their mind without fear.  It's the insecurity that causes the aberrations, the abuses, and the conditions.  "Rulers make bad lovers..."
