The Future of Presidential Candidacy

Right now, we get our presidential politics from Jackson way-back-when.

In the future, however, do you think it is possible for a candidate rising to prominancy through a website such as this and receiving funding from interested individuals on the web (this would mean lobbyists lose their sway) toactually win a presidential election?
