2008 ELECTIONS

Re: Re: Is Obama really the post-racial candidate?

The fact that Senator Obama is this far along in the electoral process, implies that he is not only viable, but eminently qualified and more than competent.  However, I will not diminsh his probability of becoming not only the first American President of African descent, but the first second generation person of a naturalized parent; by making him the symbol of, or poster child for, American race relations.  When will every citizen be known as "American" and not where their Ancestors came from? Isn't it enough that he is a brilliant and refreshing political option?  Isn.t it enough that he is an American? Has anyone had enough of the,  "divide and conquer," mentality of Julius Caesar yet?
