Should voting be mandatory?

Uploaded on 01/17/2008

I think that all voters can agree that having a say in your community, be it local or national, is a very important duty. We have the census that is mandatory. We have jury duty which is mandatory. In my opinion, voting falls within these civic duties and should be mandated. Imagine what would happen if every person voted. The politicians wouldn't know how to handle people they've never handled before. They would actually have to pay attention to EVERYONE.

Anyone agree or disagree with me?
