Re: Is it the President's job to solve moral issues?

Uploaded on 02/26/2008
Whether we like it or not, anyone empowered with as much influence as the president will necessarily serve, at least in part, as a moral leader.  So much of our politics involves questions of morality -- what we should and should do or allow others to do -- that in presiding over the executive branch, the President becomes a moral as well as political leader.  While issues like the future of the Supreme Court and others that bear on our moral governance have not played prominently in this election yet, they should be on all our minds as we walk into the voting booth come November.
