Re: Are two parties enough?

We should go more in depth into this question and look at the Marketplace of Ideas. With only two parties to choose from, naturally some important issues will fall under in the wake. We cannot take on the problem of controlled national conversation if we don't participate in our local politics and make sure that the issues that we have in our communities are taken care of. This way if many communities share similar problems then we can come to a consensus about what should become national policy. This taps into media responsibility as well, many mainstream media are no longer searching for new and interesting stories but rather catering to what the AP wants covered. This is a huge problem and we need to take it on.
