POLICY & POLITICS

Re: Is there a place for religion in politics?

Uploaded on 03/02/2008

Religion should be separate from state because religion is like a pair of glasses you purchase from a convenience store. These glasses are set to a cookie cutter prescription but do not properly fit the the actual prescription of the state. Politics are to develop and find a prescription that fits the situation and to solve the problem correctly. Religion appears to be resistant to change and politics appears to be persistent with change. With change being so obviously constant, resistance is futile and we should do what we do best, adapt and persevere with change.
