Question: What's it like to hang out with you and your friends?

Gervais:    They wouldn’t.  They think they would but then, as soon as I started squeezing their head and taking pictures of them, they’d go home.  I know now why Ricky only got 6 mates in their world.  And it’s the same mates for 25 years, is the strongest ones, he’s [leaching].  They think that whatever doesn’t kill him makes him stronger.  I don’t know.  The rest keep sounding like I’m, quote in my own catch phrase, “having a laugh” outside, being a good, decent, honest person, a decent job of work, health, of course, fundamental.  It’s having a laugh.  Having a laugh and not hurting anyone.  And that’s it, really.  That really is it.
