Ethical globalization is only unrealistic and impossible under present economic paradigms. As mentioned here, the corporate scheme values profits, and this system conflicts with a global ethic and ethical production of goods. But sooner than later, consumers will demand ethically-produced goods, particularly food.
It is obviously the current trend. Wal-Mart has recently announced that it now requires suppliers of its private label and other food products to have their factories certified against one of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.
It is time for economic structures to give way to this new model of business.
