Is breaking the law in service of a cause acceptable? Was the "law" fair to all?

Laws are not made to be broken, yet laws which violate human rights are needfully contestable.

Disagreement with, violation of, a non-justice-for-all dictatorial (certainly not democratic) may bring consequences, until right prevails.

The result(s) of the Underground Railroad is the stuff of admiration and human, civil rights. Keep in mind, we do not completely know all that took place, the good, the bad, the ugly, the admirable.

The law is a contract between an individual and society.

If you feel the need to break that contract,  you need to be prepared to deal with the consequences.
