I'm just a high school kid with opinions on everything and thinks the idea of this sight is pretty cool. I don't just have random thoughts on things though, i pay attention to news and politics and all that more than most kids my age. I live in Texas and have also lived in a few other states and even in Japan while my dad was in the navy. I have family from both political parties but both my parents are independents who vote in every election. I consider myself a conservative and hope that my location hasn't been affecting my political views. In a few years I'll probably be in the Marines and hopefully quite a ways down the line I'll get into politics. But right now I'm just working on graduating high school.
So many people say that evolution can't be true becuase the bible says that Adam was created by god. But I personally interpret much of Genesis and the entire bible in a less literal sense than believing that Adam was actually constructed from dirt. If you want to interpret the bible as saying that Adam was made from a ball of dirt then you also have to believe that everything on the Earth was created in seven days, and that there were no dinosaurs. Also, look at Jesus' teachings, humans are not literally salt as he says in his sermon on the mount.
So I think that maybe accepting evolution as a valid theory isn't so sacreligous as we have thought it to be for so long. Can I get a witness?
