Last week my internet connection stopped for a day and stopped me working. It made me realise how important the internet has become in a very short time. We now depend on the internet for everything, even for phones and banking. Yet the system IS potentially vulnerable. Not just overload and breakdown, but also Chinese state hackers have reportedly been 'testing' foreign defence networks, the CIA buys code from hackers, and the EMP bomb (Electro Magnetic Pulse, which destroys all electrical networks) is a developed and simple technology.
