I am the founding director of the Center for the Future of Museums, at the American Association of Museums. The Center is a think-tank and research and design lab for the museum field. It will explore cultural, political and economic trends shaping the future of museums to ensure we play a more profound role in society. We do this by inviting intelligent, creative, innovative people from outside the field to guide the Center’s agenda, helping museums to see ourselves and our potential in new ways and to experiment with new ways of doing our work.
